Studio Easy Hearts - Solo Show
I have completed many of the works that have been specifically created for my Solo Show in Buena Park in July-Sep 2009. Most of these pieces are too big for me to transport to an art fair, so I am intending that I display them in other venues after September. There will be other works that will be added to this collection between January and May.
| Sea Crest Dawn XXVII
Another stunning dawn off my back porch. This piece is acrylic on wraparound canvas, 40"x30". $750. |

August Afternoon
For those of you who have not experienced Salton City during 'Hell Season' i.e. 113 deg summer days, this is the reward. Looking east, I saw this cloud brewing over the Chocolate Mountains. Acrylic on panel, wraparound frame. 48"x48" $1600. |
| Wiest Lake
A favorite fishing hole on a summer morning. We had the lake to ourselves that morning - including the complete lack of fishes! Acrylic on panel, wraparound frame. 48"x48" $1600. |

Oh-my-God Hot Springs
In the 1970s and 80s, Oh-my-God Hot Springs, just west of Salton City was a wonderful place to hang out. It was featured as one of the venues in the movie 'Into the Wild'. In the 90s (I think), the springs were cemented in to discourage use by vagrants. My neighbor, however loved the place and took a photograph, during the 70s, from which I painted this. Acrylic on panel, wraparound frame. 36"x60" $1500. |
| Misty Morning II
The colors from a magazine photograph inspired the serenity in this scene. Watercolor Diptych. 24" x 18" x 2. $630. |

Sea Crest Sunset VII
One of the amazing sunsets off the front porch. I have portrayed this one before, although slightly smaller and on canvas. Acrylic on panel, wraparound frame. 30"x40" $750 |
| Painted Dawn
This was probably the most spectacular dawn of 2008. We took coffee and cameras onto the lot behind us, to witness the unfolding of an amazing sunrise. Behind were delicate pastel stacks of lenticular clouds. Acrylic on panel, wraparound frame. 36"x60" $1500. |

Misty Morning III
A road trip in Central California provided the inspiration for this piece. Somewhere in the area of Fort Ross, we paused to capture the quiet mood in the mist. Acrylic on panel, wraparound frame diptych. 40"x30" x 2 $1500. |
| Flying South
Looking east toward the Chocolate Mountains at Sunset. I had previously painted this, working from a digital photograph displayed on my pc. However, this time, I tilted the screen and found a whole detail of clouds that weren't obvious at the original angle. I emphasized these, and added some white pelicans. Acrylic on panel, wraparound frame. 36"x60" $1500. |

Sea Crest DawnXXVIII
Another stunning cloud formation at sunrise. We don't get this every day - but they sure are worth setting the alarm clock just in case. Acrylic on panel, wraparound frame. 60"x36" $1500. |
| Dawn Over Heather
My work with multi media shadowbox pieces inspired me to do some collage pieces. This piece and the following two are collages of watercolors painted with the idea that they would be cut into collages. In each case, the plan for the pieces came about just around the time the paint was dry and it was time to wield the scissors. This piece is named for the heather effect that occurred when painting the foreground pieces. Watercolor collage. 21"x29" $600. |
